Welcome to Overlook House!

August, 2009

I am happy to announce, that in a complete dismissal of the aggressive claims of economic decline, Overlook House has successfully completed the first stage of its rebirth. We have sold our existing 18-bed Christian Science nursing facility, and adjacent apartment building at or above their appraised value.

Now focus shifts to identifying a new "right-sized," residential-style building that will serve our field for the next generation. We are looking for a location with easy highway access and ample green space. The goal is to give our patients venues outside of their room from which they can draw healing inspiration. We also want to provide a stable base to aid Christian Science nurses in performing their healing ministry.

We therefore hold to the absolute - that in God's universe we are all in our proper place. Following the Christ, we believe Jesus' promise as recorded in John 14:2,

"In my Father's house are many mansions: … I go to prepare a place for you."

Your continued support and prayers are critically important to helping Overlook House arrive at its new destination.
